Do you want to built a tornado-resistant home, but are concerned about the extra cost? It can be offset by using simpler structural designs. I have 5 dozen preliminary floor plans for single-family homes which do this, from under 1,000 sq. ft. to 6,000 sq. ft. They're all Safe, Accessible, Green, and Economical [remember the acronym "SAGE"]. I'd like to help you build one or more of these, whether you're a home buyer or a potential employer. We'll need help from a licensed architect or Certified Building Designer to finish the plans & details.
There are also preliminary floor plans for 2 modest apartment buildings.
The pages titled "Government," "Organizations," and "Companies" have listings of these you can contact directly for more detailed information about tornado-resistant and auxiliary components that can be used.
If you're a small town looking to rebuild, or a developer, I also have the best approach to community planning and regional land-use zoning. My planning approach covers from 10 to about 1,000 homes. Please contact me!
